After 35 years, DOVE's aim remains high
In 35 years, the DOVE agency in Quincy has transformed itself from a hotline and small emergency shelter to a multi-service agency serving 15 communities with legal and social service programs that help survivors of domestic violence rebuild their lives.

Survivors of domestic violence create new beginnings

By writing in journals and sharing creativity, survivors of domestic violence create new beginnings at DOVE in Quincy. Margaret Mason, a social worker who guides the writing group, shares insights.

DOVE receives $10,000 award from The Verizon Foundation! DOVE joined with Jane Doe, Inc., the MA Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, and 60 Jane Doe member programs, as well as Mary Kay's corporate office and local Salesforce, at the MA Statehouse on Thursday, April 28. Advocates are urging lawmakers to restore funding for local domestic violence and sexual assault programs in the coming year's budget.

DOVE is one of 15 organizations in Massachusetts to receive a grant from Verizon to support teen dating and domestic violence prevention. DOVE's YouthSpeak program teens will explore and utilize social media to spread the word about dating and domestic violence and resources available to help.

Howl at the Moon
Warm thank you to Katie Corey for organizing a fundraising party at Howl at the Moon in Boston.Nearly 100 people attended, raising $2,500 for DOVE's YouthSpeak teen dating violence prevention program.

Thank You to the South Shore Women's Business Network for "Paying It Forward", selecting DOVE as one of 4 charities to support during SSWBN's 20th Anniversary Celebration. The Network sponsored a donation drive for DOVE's emergency shelter and community-based services February 10 at the Bryantville Deli in Pembroke.

Ideal for social service providers, advocates, law enforcement, health care workers, clergy, and anyone committed to helping end domestic violence. This intensive training complete with special speakers, videos, and role-plays offers valuable knowledge and skill-building needed to appropriately work with victims and survivors of domestic violence.
